To showcase its line of fire-retardant protective apparel, Ashburn Hill has launched a new Web site at www.TECGENXTREME.com. This coincides with the debut of the company's TECGEN XTREME protective apparel, which provides a single-layer alternative to turnout gear for many firefighting responses.
The new apparel meets the National Fire Protection Association's specifications for wildland firefighting (NFPA 1977-2005) and technical rescue ensemble (NFPA 1951-2007). The product also excelled in its thermal protective performance test and is reported by the company to have much higher total heat loss than turnout gear.
Other products featured on the site include ThermTex Hoods and Baselayer, both made from lightweight material that cools in summer and insulates in winter.
