The Cosmas Titan is a 14-inch structural firefighting boot with a full-grain leather upper equipped with an abrasion-resistant vulcanized rubber toe cap.
It features a MIDSOLEARMOR composite puncture plate/ladder shank/midsole, providing full puncture resistance coverage and thermal insulation for the bottom of the foot. The design, according to the company, is stiff and supportive in the heel and arch, yet flexible in the forefoot, allowing natural flex.
Other features include ANKLEARMOR contoured ankle guards, and a proprietary high traction, vulcanized rubber outsole equipped with HEELROLL and TOESPRING to promote a natural walking motion. CROSSTECH Footwear Fabric provides penetration protection against blood, body fluids, common chemicals, and water.
Cosmas, located in Montebelluna, Italy, develops and manufactures high performance footwear for mountaineering professionals, firefighters, emergency services personnel and military special forces. Its U.S. subsidiary is based in Hampton, N.H., with a distribution center just north of Chicago.
