Welcome to Globe Manufacturing Company’s online training program as required by the 2026 edition of NFPA 1850, Standard on Selection, Care, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural and Proximity Fire Fighting and Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.

This online program is designed to provide training on the various chapters found in the standard, as it applies to the Protective Ensembles Selection, Care, and Maintenance Program (NFPA 1851) including but not limited to program management, selection, inspection, cleaning, repair, storage, and retirement of protective clothing and footwear.

As you will see, it provides a complete overview of the NFPA 1850 standard with an emphasis on the requirements of inspection, cleaning, and repair as they relate to turnout gear, footwear, and fire helmets. Following the course, there is a 25- question test, which you must take in order to receive your certificate of participation in the training. You must correctly answer 20 of the 25 questions, following which you will be able to print a certificate, which will be your documentation of the training course.
